Laura Gosse of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Recognized at Upper Iowa University 2014 Honors and Awards Banquet

Upper Iowa University recently held its 29th annual Scholarships and Awards Recognition Banquet and awarded 122 scholarships to students across the University. Of those, 98 scholarships were bestowed on UIU students attending classes in Fayette and another 24 were awarded to students who take courses through other UIU locations. Recipients were selected by the UIU Honors and Awards Committee and the University academic divisions.

Laura Gosse was awarded the Faculty Appreciation Scholarship given by Tesorierio, Foley and Wood. This award, sponsored by alumni Dr. Richard Tesoriero, Dr. Donald Foley and Dr. Kurt Wood, is made to an outstanding sophomore who is majoring in biology and chemistry, and if no double major is available, then biology or chemistry, favoring prechiropractic. The award is applied to the student’s junior year financial aid package at Upper Iowa University. Prospective award recipients are recommended to the Honors and Awards Committee by the senior faculty member in the biology department and the chemistry department..
