UIU announces "Night of the Peacocks" Homecoming Ball
Fayette, IA (08/07/2024) — Upper Iowa University is thrilled to announce a new twist to its Homecoming Week festivities set for October 7-13 on the Fayette Campus. All are invited to the HOMECOMING BALL "Night of the Peacocks" on Friday, October 11.
During this fundraising celebration, guests may enjoy a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., delectable food, games, and fun ways to make a difference for UIU. The dinner program will be an extra special treat as we recognize the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Inductees, plus intertwine a few other fun surprises.
"From our perspective, there's no greater honor among UIU Athletics than being inducted into the Hall of Fame," said Rick Hartzell, Vice President for Athletics. "This time-honored tradition recognizes outstanding careers and achievements in sports by UIU alumni, and we cannot wait to see our selected individuals shine in this well-deserved spotlight."
To cap off the event, attendees will enjoy DJ entertainment and dance the night away in the company of their Peacock family.
Upper Iowa is incredibly proud to recognize its Title Sponsors, Roger & Alice H. Mangan. This alumni couple, class of 1962 and 1961, respectively, reside in Littleton, Colorado. Their generous $50,000 sponsorship gift will benefit the UIU Fund, which supports all students and emerging needs of the University. We are grateful for their support of the Homecoming Ball.
Additional event sponsorship opportunities for the Homecoming Ball include Blue Diamond Sponsor ($25,000), Diamond Sponsor ($10,500), Platinum Sponsor ($5,500), Gold Sponsor ($3,000), and Silver Sponsor ($1,000). Each option provides guest tickets and other perks for supporters to enjoy.
"The Homecoming Ball will unite our entire University family, including alumni, employees, students, community members, and corporate partners, for one extraordinary evening," said UIU President Kathy Franken. "UIU is what connects us all, and taking time to celebrate and reflect on our Peacock pride is important."
Early registration tickets are $85 and are available now through September 27. Attire for the event is cocktail / black-tie optional.
