UIU receives Best for Vets ranking

Fayette, IA (12/19/2024) — Upper Iowa has been included in the Military Times' 2024 Best for Vets: Colleges rankings, the largest and most comprehensive annual list recognizing the top colleges and universities for military service members and veterans.

This year, an impressive 304 schools made the list, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the military community in their educational journeys. Each year, Military Times surveys colleges and universities nationwide to evaluate their veteran-focused programs. These survey responses and public data from the Department of Education and Department of Veterans Affairs undergo rigorous analysis by the Military Times data team to produce a trusted, unbiased ranking.

"The UIU faculty and staff deeply appreciate the commitment and sacrifices made by our veteran students for our country, and in turn, we are honored to assist and support our veteran students and their families with achieving their educational and career goals," shared Brandy Branstetter, UIU Director of military and veteran affairs, "We take pride in providing all students with an outstanding educational experience."

These rankings have become a vital tool for veterans seeking guidance on maximizing their educational benefits and for schools to highlight their veteran programs. The 2024 rankings are available now on the Best for Vets website: bestforvets.militarytimes.com/rankings/colleges.
